Important Information
To get the best out of your new spinner you must make sure that your propeller is balanced. The best way to do this is to have your spinner, propeller and engine dynamically balanced once a year. This balances the spinner, prop and crank with the engine running at cruise RPM. You will be very surprised as to how smooth your power plant will become
Cummins Spinners is an Australian Company that makes aluminium spinners for non-certified aircraft. It has been providing the Ultralight aircraft market and homebuilders in Australia with quality aluminium spinners.
All of the spinners are manufactured from spun aluminium and made in Australia.
This is Steve working on the first 13" Spinner.
Each spinner has to meet the standards before it moves on to the next stage of the production.
The backing plates are also made from spun aluminium.
The bolt holes in the backing plates and squeeze plates, are machined on a computerised milling machine to within a 10000th of an inch.
All the hardware (rivets screws etc) are certified aircraft parts.
Cummins Spinners has a range of cones (see sizes) and will customise the cut outs to suit you propeller's profile
We have a unique method of moulding the propeller cut outs that puts a small flange around the cut-out. This gives the spinner extra strength.
