All the cones are made from 1150 aluminium, 2mm thick. The backing are made from 3mm thick 5005 aluminium.
The machining of the bolt holes in the backing and squeeze plates are done on a computerized mill.
Most spinners are available as a kit, or as a completed spinner.
RV Spinner cones are only available, Back plates etc are purchased from Vans direct.
Kit Spinner Type 1
In the kit you receive all the Aluminium parts and hardware to make your spinner (there are NO holes or cut-outs done)
Kit Spinner Type 2
In this Kit the Base plate and Stiffing Plate are predrilled to your requested bolt pattern. The holes on the side of the base plate, for attaching the cone, are not drilled as the placing of the propeller cut-outs is unknown.
The cone has no cutouts for the propeller. This kit has the hardest part of making the spinner, the PCD of the propeller bolts
Completed Spinner
The completed spinner has all the holes and cutouts done and is ready to be fitted.
The 8" to 11.75" back plate spinners require at least 20 mm clearance from the engine flange to the cowl (at the edge of the spinner) for the back plate to fit, due to the 3mm thick plate, the spinner does not require a front plate.
